A little Rambling....

Here's to NEW ventures and making new online friends.  This is my blog and I will try and post something everyday.  I am not much of a talker or a blogger so it will be pretty difficult for me to remember to post something.  I was up til about 5:30 a.m. working on some new digis for the September 10th release; so I am a bit tired.  Although, 4:00am is has become my usual bedtime since I am up pretty late drawing, creating my new website and graphic designing my rubber stamp insert cards -- yipee!! I will hopefully be offering etched rubber stamps very soon on selected images for those who prefer to work with rubber stamps.

The images I drew last night came out so adorable!  There are a couple of cutsie ones and a couple of my regular type of drawings (ice bucket anyone?  hint hint) :). I am do itching tp release them now!  Sept. 10th is too far off, lol.

I am a versatile artist so I will be drawing a variety of images so that I can offer a wide range of digis for crafting community. Here are some fun facts about me. :)

Here We GO!!

Hello, HelloHello!!

I'm glad you stopped by today to check out the new challenge blog!  It means a lot-- I'm so excited to start this fun, new community...a place where all you talented, crafty-coloring-stamping-cardmaking individuals can visit, be inspired, and hopefully meet new friends and find something to make your day a little brighter!

This is the first actual post related to the challenges, which makes me nervous because I am so new at this. I already introduced you to my First Time Ever(yikes!) Design Team. They are amazing and talented and I am so happy that they want to help me out in launching my digi stamps. (I am such a newbie, lol)  Come along for the ride, it's going to be fun.

I want to touch on two things today. The Challenge Rules and giving you some info on the digi's:).

The Button Challenges will be held monthly, on the first of each month (for now).  We will also have Facebook Group Contests/Challenges that will be going each 15th of the month as well.

We have themes and sketches (thank you lovely girls!) to share soon...and fun prizes, too!  There will be posts throughout the week by myself and different DT members... spotlighting *your creations* on the third Friday of the month. Yes-- you have to wait til that Friday for that post, but it should be some good reading :)! The Challenge Rules are located under the Rules tab on the Navigation bar....Be sure to give look them over, just to familiarize
yourself :).

As far as the Cute As A Button Digi's being sold on Etsy....thank you!  xo !thank you, thank you, thank you! xo for all of your support, review and encouragement.

I'm so humbled and thrilled to create images for you to make beautiful! There are so many talented and amazing individuals buying the digis, and I literally browse through the images on the Cute As A Button Facebook Page astounded at the creativity! Wow! It is so fun to see the images colored so differently...so unique to each person's style and tastes. All of you are such an inspiration to me and others.  I just want to keep drawing and drawing!! I literally stay up til 4:00 and 5:00 a.m. coming up with new images. Thank you!

I will be putting out new stamp releases each month.  I have a list that was started last year wit tons of designs to put on paper and many in sketch form!

I'm almost done with my first official Challenge post.  I hope I am doing okay?!

I would love for you to introduce yourself - even if we are already friends! So that others can get to know you as well.  So please, tell us a little about yourself and spread the word about our new Challenge Blog and Facebook Page and group.  Thanks for stopping by...I'm looking so forward to seeing your creations and building wonderful friendships!

Drumroll please . . .

Drumroll, please. . .

Hey, everyone! Happy Monday! I'm super excited to share with you the members of the very first Cute As A Button Stamps Design Team. Let me tell you, this was SUCH a terribly difficult decision!!! So many of you talented stampers applied, and it was so, so hard to choose. So, I want to thank each and every one of you who sent in an application. I decided to keep my DT small, at this time, since my little stamp line is still just starting out. So, without further ado, here are the first members of the first Button DT:

Valou Allard - Team Co-Leader

You'll be seeing projects from these ladies on the Button Blog starting in September. For now, please go check out their blogs and leave them some bloggy love. :) Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Cute As A Button is recruiting, and currently looking for Design Team Members to join us!

  6. Can you take good clean/clear pictures of your work?
  7. Can you meet a deadline?
  8. Can you create a project and a card once a month?

I am looking for DT members to join our Team, to showcase my Cute As A Button products as well as our Sponsor images.

What do you need to do?

First of all, you must have a blog and Facebook account that you keep current.

Next, send me an email to serve as your DT Application.  It must include the following information:

  1. Your name and location
  2. Your blog address and Facebook page link;
  3. How you would describe your style (we’re looking for all different styles);
  4. Why you would like to work with Cute As A Button products?
  5. Do you belong to any current DT Teams? If so which ones?
  6. Three (3) different projects showcasing your talent (don’t worry, it doesn’t matter how new you are to card making).  These can be most recent or older projects (either uploaded to the email or linked to your blog).
  7. Let us know what your experience is working within a design team.  If you don’t have any DT experience, that is okay too!
  8. Any other relevant information you’d like to share.

What is in it for you?
We are NOT looking for people who are into design teams just to grab every digi or free goodies they can. If that is you, then I’m afraid you just won’t be a good fit with us.  HOWEVER, if you are mature, honest, have good moral character, love to have fun, enjoy colouring digital images, and want to help inspire your fellow Design Team members along with our readers, then this is the place for you!

  1. You will be provided with a wide range of images from Cute As A Button to work with and use not only for our challenges, but on projects for yourself and other challenges.
  2.  Your name and blog link will be displayed on the Cute As A Button Blog.

Other Details…

  1. Terms are for 5 months long (with an option to extend if mutually agreeable) and will start once you have been accepted onto the team.
  2. We will be creating one Team for now.  On average you will need to create 2 projects a month.  However there may be some months where you need to create 3  projects (as some months may have an extra Sunday).
  3. You may be asked to participate in special events, i.e. blog hops, etc. but these will be planned and discussed well in advance.
  4. This project needs to be uploaded to our private DT blog (2) days before your scheduled day.  The only requirement for this project is to use a Button image.  Other than that, anything goes.  All group communication and file uploading will take place in the Cute As A Button Challenges DT Blog and Cute As A Button Facebook Group Page. It is a private blog and only Cute As A Button members will have access to it.
  5. All info is available well in advance for you to create your projects in time on the DT blog.
  6. Have a Facebook account (this is where our DT chats and where I post our files and sponsor images).
  7. Have a personal blog to post about each new challenge/mid-challenge inspiration, and link back to the challenge.
  8. Post you DT Badge on your blog's sidebar.
  9. Comment on your assigned numbers (no more than 2-3)
  10. Vote on DT top picks at the end of each challenge (every two weeks)
  11. Promote Cute As A Button images wherever you can! (Pinterest, Facebook, Magazines, Blogs, etc.)

This is an open call for now until all available spots are filled. We are currently looking for at least 5 people.

If you have any questions at all, please contact me by email - cuteas_a_button@yahoo.com
If any of you, our loyal readers, would like to advertise the DT call for us on your own individual blog. we would sincerely appreciate the shout out.

This DT Call is open to everyone - international applicants welcome, no previous design team experience necessary. The call will stay open through August 15 or until all spots have been filled.

I look forward to reading your applications and beautiful creations and can't wait to add you to our team!

xoxo
